Built in 1910 by a prominent doctor, the Robert B. Smith House now serves as a museum. Behind the house, located in downtown Mount Airy, sits Robert Smith Memorial Park, a beautiful green space that hosts an annual summer concert series. Exhibits inside the museum depict the histories of local figures such as Donna Fargo, Andy Griffith, and Chang and Eng Bunker, famous 19th century Siamese twins, and a 15-minute video covers the general history of Mount Airy.
